Past the trap
How the long and drill snakes differ
The Drain Weasel Max uses the same quick-connect handle as the standard kit, with a pair of 20-inch or 30-inch wands. It is the step up for a tub where the overflow plate adds length before the trap, or for a laundry sink with a long run of pipe.
The MAX Power has a 30-inch wand with a drill connector, and the PowerSnake has three 36-inch wands on a coated, flexible cable with a drive coupler that fits a standard drill and a handle for turning by hand. The PowerSnake card asks for low speed and clockwise turning only: a fast drill whips the wand around in the pipe instead of winding the hair onto it.
