The handle and the wand
How the drain weasel kits differ
Every kit on this page uses the same quick-connect handle. You push a wand into it until it clicks, feed the wand down the drain past the stopper, turn the handle so the micro-hooks wind the hair around them, and pull. The used wand comes off the handle and goes in the bin, so you never pick hair off a tool. A new wand clicks in for the next drain.
The kits differ in two numbers. The wand count runs from one in the starter kit to ten in the large kit and in the Pro, which is where most households end up once they know the drains in the house. The wand length runs from the standard 18 inches to 20 and 30 on the Max and 36 on the PowerSnake, which also takes a drill. The 18-inch wand is made for the short stretch below the drain opening, where hair wraps around a sink stopper rod or a tub strainer; the longer wands are for a clog that sits further down the pipe.
